Because of the difficulty in choosing something as personal as a trumpet mouthpiece by mail order we have a size trial program. This allows the player to pay for one mouthpiece with a credit card and receive two mouthpieces to play for two weeks.
The size trial program might be better called a Virtual Custom Fitting. Sometimes one of the first two mouthpieces we send out are THE one. However, when a player wants to fine tune things it is common to spend a few weeks communicating about how the mouthpieces are working, and mailing mouthpieces back and forth until the player is dialed in. Staying in touch as you try out the mouthpieces is the very important and produces the best results. We love lots of e-mails and phone calls.
Summary of Size Trial Program
1. The purchaser pays for one or more mouthpieces. You can pay by Credit card or PayPal, but if using PayPal you must call the toll free number to provide a valid credit car number.
2. One additional top and backbore can be ordered for a two week trial for each mouthpiece purchased at no additional immediate charge.
3. Charges for the additional mouthpieces will be pre-authorized on the credit card.
4. The trial period starts from when you receive the mouthpieces, not from when we send them. Therefore you must let us know when they arrive.
5. If during the two weeks we decide that you have the wrong size we can trade tops and/or backbores and continue the size trial. You get two weeks to play each new mouthpiece sent. We can continue this, within reason, until we find the right size.
6. Additional charges for shipping are applied to the credit card at the time of sending out mouthpieces for exchange.
7. Shipping charges are not refunded.
8. Backbores that are switched on a size trial may be replaced with ones that have been returned from previous size trials, and therefore might have slight insertion marks.
9. The purchaser agrees to authorize charges on their credit card for all merchandise and shipping costs if products are not returned at the end of the two week trial period. We will attempt to contact you by email and by a telephone call if we have not heard from you at the end of the two weeks. After our initial attempt we will charge your card.
10. Mouthpieces MUST be returned by regular postal service, not by courier. Taxes, and brokerage fees generated by returning mouthpieces by courier will be charged to the customer's credit card and are non refundable.
11. Mouthpieces are subject to the usual exchange and return policies.
12. There will be 10% restocking fee on any refunds.
13. Light insertion marks on returned backbores are expected. Backbores sent out on size trials may have them. Tops should be returned in new condition with not scratches, dings, or dents. Tops received with any signs of damage will result in an additional 10% restocking fee.

3. Return here and click to accept the Size Trial terms.
4. You will be taken to the Size Trial page to select your mouthpiece.
5. Go to checkout and select WILL CALL for the shipping option.
6. You will be contacted to confirm your order.
7. The extra mouthpiece will be shipped with the one you purchased at no additional charge.
