The Mike Herriott Line

Introducing the Mike Herriott Line of Wedge Mouthpieces

Canadian trumpeter Mike Herriott is a Wedge endorsing artist. Mike tried out the Wedge at the 2008 ITG in Banff and has converted to the Wedge for all of his playing. Mike has his own signature line of mouthpieces based on the following sizes.

Herriott Lead-dc

Top: 10.5FC-dc with a small double cup and 25 throat. The stainless steel version of this is now Mikes favorite lead piece.

Backbore: Heavy Wedge Medium large upper section with 25 throat. Regular length Large lower shank to produce an accentuated step bore backbore configuration.

Herriott Lead

Top: 10.5FC with a 22 throat.

Backbore: Heavy Wedge Medium Large upper section with 22 throat. Regular length Large lower shank.

Herriott Classic

Top: 5CC with a 25 throat.

Backbore: Heavy Wedge Medium Large upper section with a 25 throat. Regular length Large lower shank.

Herriott Pops

Top: 5DC with a 25 throat.

Herriott Piccolo

Top: 10.5FC with a 25 throat.

Backbore: Heavy Wedge Medium upper section with a 25 throat. Regular length ML lower shank.

Herriott Flugel

3FLXC top with Standard (Yamaha) shank.

The Herriott signature line is available in brass with silver or gold plating, and also in stainless steel for the maximum in fast response and projection. Mike uses gold or stainless, depending on the circumstances.
