Wedge FLX flugelhorn mouthpieces have a very deep V shaped cup designed to produce an extremely dark, mellow flugel sound. However, the efficiency of the Wedge rim means that this can be accomplished without compromising endurance and upper range performance. Shallower cups can be provided by special order.

The Wedge flugel uses a screw off backbore. One top can be mated with a backbore for Bach, American (Yamaha, "Standard"), or French tapers.

We also offer a trumpet backbore designed to allow the flugel top to be used in your trumpet. The result is a very rich, mellow sound that is intermediate between a very dark cornet and a flugel.
