Making a Small Difference in the World
Our family has committed to donating 10% of our sales to charity. We have contributions to the following organizations.
Scott Brookins is an Internationally known Trumpet Soloist and Evangelist. Scott Brookins Ministries is an Interdenominational ministry proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Evangelism and missions are the heart of this ministry through outreach concerts and preaching the Word of God. This international work helps support families and orphans in many countries. They also provide Bibles to local pastors for use in Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, as well as many countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Covenant House Vancouver exists for those young people for whom there is often no one else — young people aged 16 - 24 who have either willingly fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse or those who have been forced from their homes.
"We bandage their cut-up feet from days and nights walking the streets; we give them hot food and a warm bed and we support them in their choice to change their present circumstances while helping them heal from past traumas.
Primarily privately funded, Covenant House relies on the generosity of some 40,000 individuals and organizations to provide shelter, food, clothing and counselling to over 1,400 young people each year. To find out what you can do to help street youth, click here."
Kenya Outreach
Kitsilano Christian Community Church is involved in missionary work at the Bomet Hostel for children with physical disabilities. Harrison Mouthpieces has recently made a donation to the mission in order to help buy food and provide medical care so badly needed during this time of political unrest in Kenya.
Vancouver General Hospital Foundation
Harrison mouthpieces has made a donation to the Vancouver General Hospital Foundation. The money will be used to fund medical research to help people with diabetes, complications of cancer radiation treatment, and other conditions.
