“If it is not broken, don’t fix it.”

If your current mouthpiece is working for you and allowing you to reach your full potential, if you are certain that it is not holding you back, I am very happy for you and you should stick with it.

However, many players report that although their regular mouthpiece was not “broken” the Wedge allowed them to develop well beyond their previous level of playing because the mouthpiece "got out of the way" and let their embouchure do what they demanded of it. This has been reported by players of all levels ranging from new players, comeback players, avid amateurs and highly successful seasoned professionals.

Some of our most satisfied customers have had long and distinguished careers using the same mouthpiece that eventually seemed to perform less and less like it used to. Of course their faithful old mouthpiece had not changed. They had. Many of these players say that changing to the Wedge was like rolling 10 years on the clock.

It is not a matter of a mouthpiece being broken. It is a matter of a mouthpiece being better.
